A single variety of flour needs to be stored in very narrow, small-diameter vertical silos, which are fed pneumatically. In order to produce mixed flour in predetermined proportions, it is necessary to reliably measure the level of flour in each silo. The measured process conditions include dust, strong airflow, and poor reflection properties of the medium.
