What are the proper installation methods and precautions of radar level sensor?

Whether the radar level gauge can be measured correctly depends on the signal of the reflected wave. If at the selected installation location, the liquid level does not reflect the electromagnetic wave back to the radar antenna or there is interference in the range of the signal wave to reflect the interference wave to the radar level gauge, the radar level gauge will not accurately reflect the actual level. Therefore, the reasonable selection of the installation position is very important for the radar level meter, and the following points should be paid attention to when installing:
1. The axis of the radar level meter antenna should be perpendicular to the reflective surface of the liquid level.
2, the stirring valve in the tank, the adhesion of the tank wall and the ladder and other objects, if in the signal range of the radar level meter, will produce interference reflected waves, affecting the liquid level measurement. Choose the appropriate installation position during installation to avoid the interference of these factors.
3. The horn of the trumpet type radar level meter should exceed a certain distance (>10mm) from the inner surface of the mounting hole. The antenna of the rod type liquid level gauge should extend out of the mounting hole, and the length of the mounting hole should not exceed 100mm. For a circular or elliptical container, it should be installed at a distance of 1/2R from the center (R is the radius of the container), and cannot be installed at the center of the top of the circular or elliptical container, otherwise the radar wave will gather at the center of the top of the container after multiple reflections of the container wall, forming a strong interference wave, which will affect the accurate measurement.
4. For the liquid level measurement of containers with large liquid level fluctuations, a liquid level gauge with a by-pass tube can be used to reduce the impact of liquid level fluctuations.
After installation, observe the reflected wave curve to determine whether the liquid level meter is properly installed. If not, further adjust the installation position until satisfied.
For some unavoidable interference waves in the installation position, the radar level meter can also be used to identify false waves, the level meter can identify interference reflected waves according to the actual level, and coexist in the internal database of the radar level meter, so that the radar level meter can identify these interference waves during data processing, remove the impact of these interference reflected waves, and ensure the accuracy of measurement.
♦ Installation precautions:
1. The antenna is parallel to the measuring groove wall, which is conducive to the propagation of microwave.
2. The distance between the installation position and the groove wall should be greater than 30cm, so as not to misinterpret the false signal on the groove wall as an echo signal.
3, try to avoid the blanking area, agitator and other interference sources, so that there is no fixed object in the beam range, improve the reliability of the signal.
4. The diameter of the nozzle should be less than or equal to the length of the shielded tube (100mm or 250mm).
5, not suitable for electromagnetic heating environment.
