Intelligent Tank Area Monitoring of a Lubricant Group in Shanxi Province

I. Project Implementation Background 

A certain lubricant company has 73 storage tanks, including 30 carbon steel tanks, 7 stainless steel tanks, 14 small packaging tanks, 8 bulk tanks for finished oil products, 10 basic pipelines for finished oil products, 3 waterproof oil tanks and one 500-cubic-meter large four-tank. Previously, the measurement of the liquid levels in each tank of the company was mostly done manually, which was very time-consuming and labor-intensive.

II. Project Implementation Scale 

In mid-2025, this company established contact and cooperation with Huachuang Measurement & Control. According to the required technical parameters, they installed our company's independently developed HCDAR-8H type radar level gauge on-site. The liquid level signal was transmitted via 485 to the Ethernet DTU, and then through the Ethernet transmission on-site to our company's IoT platform. The platform then performed function calculations to display the tonnage data of each tank. At the same time, historical record reports of each tank can be viewed clearly and comprehensively. After on-site installation and through mobile phone Bluetooth debugging, this product is based on the method of using 80GHz radar level measurement. Through advanced technical processing techniques, it accurately measures and outputs the height data of the measured liquid level. Moreover, due to its excellent stability characteristics and zero-maintenance advantages, it has become a necessary tool for measurement in the level detection solution.
