  • 3D Radar Installation Case of a Steel Plant

Our company independently developed and manufactures the HCD-3D-30/50 series millimeter-wave 3D scanners—essentially 3D radars. Specifically designed for enclosed storage environments such as silos and tanks, these units perform real-time scanning of stored materials. They provide capabilities including static target detection, point cloud data output, spatial scanning imaging, and the calculation and output of volume and weight data, all while remaining unaffected by harsh conditions such as rain, dust, or varying lighting. Accurate volume measurement is critical for inventory tracking and bulk material management; however, current common practices rely largely on manual estimation, which suffers from low efficiency, safety risks, and poor accuracy. While some enterprises utilize laser-based products, these often perform poorly in high-dust environments. Our scanning imaging radar is purpose-built for bulk material storage scenarios—such as stockpiles and silos—using millimeter-wave signals to conduct omnidirectional, high-precision, non-contact measurements. It captures high-density point cloud data and automatically calculates parameters such as height, volume, and mass.
